Letter Bee is one of the saddest anime that I've seen. You'd always see Lag Seeing, the main character, crying in almost every episode. :( This anime series is mainly about Letter Bees and their experiences in their very difficult job..... DELIVERING LETTERS. \o/ Yes, delivering letters in their world is difficult because a Bee would have to face Gaichuus (large armored insects) along the way and walk through harsh weathers and unfriendly terrains just to deliver a single letter. Well, Bees can't always handle their jobs alone so they are usually accompanied by their dingos. A dingo can be anything as long as it can help you fight those Gaichuus or help a Bee do faster deliveries. As for Lag Seeing, he has Niche as his dingo. Niche is a child of the Maka and has the ability to use her hair as golden swords. (btw, Niche is a girl) Lag is not of the combat type so I think Niche's part in fighting Gaichuus is a very great help to him. The series is mostly all about letter-delivering experiences. The series is more focused on the flow of the story rather than on great and action-packed battle scenes. Though, I never cried even once watching the whole series but I did feel very sad on some parts of it. :D
